High-power Short-duration Radiofrequency Ablation for Atrial Fibrillation: A Clinical Review

نویسندگان

چکیده

Radiofrequency (RF) catheter ablation is an established method of treating patients with atrial fibrillation (AF). However, the optimal levels power and duration required to achieve a successful while avoiding complications are unknown. High-power short-duration (HPSD) for treatment AF already emerging as alternative conventional low-power long-duration (LPLD) procedures. Potential advantages HPSD include efficacy, safety reduction in procedural RF time, through ability create durable geometrically favourable lesions. This article describes development reviews its place landscape AF.

Radiofrequency ablation for treatment of atrial fibrillation.

INTRODUCTION Atrial Fibrillation (AF) is the most common cardiac arrhythmia which represents a major public health problem. The main purpose of this research is to evaluate the Radiofrequency (RF) ablation effects in the patients with chronic AF scheduled for cardiac surgery because of different heart diseases. METHODS The descriptive and prospective study was conducted on 60 patients with AF...

Transvenous Radiofrequency Catheter Ablation for Atrial Flutter and Atrial Fibrillation

Transvenous radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFA) for treatment of atrioventricular (AV) reentrant tachycardia and AV nodal reentrant tachycardia is remarkably successful. To the best of my knowledge, there has not been a large randomized trial comparing RFA with other treatments for these tachycardias. The lack of such trials is due at least in part to the self-evident efficacy of RFA in this...

Radiofrequency ablation in treatment of atrial fibrillation.

Beside heart failure and metabolic syndrome, atrial fibrillation is termed the cardiovascular epidemic of the twenty-first century. Its increased morbidity and mortality is alarming. The present, most effective therapy of atrial fibrillation is catheter ablation. Successful ablation of atrial fibrillation prevents the occurrence and progression of electrical, structural and mechanic myocardium ...
